Bibbulmun Track Gear

Click here to see my evolving gear list for my up coming end to end thru hike of the Bibbulmun Track in Western Australia. I’m trying to go even lighter than my previous long distance trails this time and aiming for a 6kg base weight (all gear except consumables and clothes worn).

Day 97 Ennis Zero

0 miles hiked on trail A standard town day spent resupplying and getting organised for the next section ahead. I was surprised by the supermarket at Ennis which had to be one of the best I’ve shopped along the whole trail for the variety including some interesting seasonings – see below

Day 96 Ennis

23.4 miles It was a town day today although I didn’t know it at the time. I had around 12 miles to hike out to a trail head which I’d have lunch at with the intention to carry on for the afternoon further into the mountains and hike a nero day into Ennis tomorrow, however…

Day 95 Cedar Camp

25.6 miles Today saw mixed trail surfaces right through the day, initially on forest service road before turning  into old logging roads grassed over and then onto single track which seemed to mainly be used by mountain bikers heading down from near Big Sky.  While I seemed to be heading uphill, bikers were headed down.…
