  1. Hi Mick,
I spent a night at Cairn Creek Hut last week and saw your entry in the logbook!
Not sure when you were there? But boy, the hike in/out now is pretty wild! Very difficult navigation and seriously overgrown for about 1/2 the track… An adventure getting there for sure, but what a beautifully remote and untouched place.
I only ended up going there because the weather was too bad to head up over Mt Bogong! I was intending to camp at Mitchell Hut, but didn’t fancy Bogong in strong wind and torrential rain… I continued on the next day and got back to the car at Mountain Creek Campground. An awesome 5 days in the VIC high country!
    Cheers,
    Chris

  2. Hi Mick. Can you remember about what date you started the Heysen Trail? I’m interested in how long the days are this winter. Thank you.

  3. (Apologies if you get this message twice.). Can you remember what date you started your Heysen Trail walk? I’m interested because I’m wondering when the daylight starts in winter. Thank you.
